QueryLantern processes the URL you submit to run a page audit and fetches only publicly accessible resources related to that URL, such as the page itself, robots.txt, sitemap hints, and light root-level machine-readable files.

For abuse prevention and service protection, QueryLantern also temporarily processes technical request data such as IP-related header values used for rate limiting.

If you request an email copy of a report, your email address and a temporary audit token are processed to deliver that message. The report token is short-lived and may become unavailable after successful delivery.

If you submit a full audit request, the service stores the contact details and project context you provide, including your email address, site URL, market, goal, and preferred timeline, so the request can be reviewed and handled.

QueryLantern relies on infrastructure and delivery sub-processors such as Vercel for hosting, Upstash Redis for short-lived storage and rate limiting, and Resend for transactional email delivery when email sending is enabled.

Free-audit report tokens are stored for up to one hour. Full audit requests and related lead details may be retained for up to 12 months where needed for lead handling, abuse prevention, and service improvement.
